Cape Cod Travel Guide, Fall 97' - "Like an oasis in the desert, the blue and white striped awnings of Montano's Restaurant (487-2026) rise from the dunes just a few miles short of Provincetown on Route 6, and beckon diners to a great Italian meal and a family-style atmosphere. The fireplaced dining room has barnboard walls, and a wonderful collection of baskets, lobster pots and plants hang from the rafters. In addition to Italian classics, the reasonably-priced menu includes meat, pasta, seafood, chicken and veal dishes along with some of the chef's signature creations: Chicken Pompeii (with roasted peppers, artichoke hearts, olives, garlic, mushrooms and wine) and Veal Zingarella. Bottomless bowls of garden salad, a full wine and beer selection, and a special menu for children enhance the restaurant's popularity. Open daily year-round from 4:30pm."

Provincetown Magazine, May 2000 - "Here's The Dish - Montano's Restaurant, 481 North Truro, MA., Tel. 487-2026. Quick! Where can you find a great traditional Italian dinner at an affordable price in a quiet Cape setting? Try Montano's Restaurant in North Truro. This is not your typical restaurant. The Dining Room wall just beyond the fireplace has been adorned with traditional Italian family wedding pictures which captured Bob Montano's roots. Besides Granddad, many uncles and several cousins work in or operate restaurants. Imagine what a Montano family reunion must look like! The menu features over 60 entrees which have evolved over the years at Bob's hands with input from the customers. In fact, Bob finds it hard to remove any specific item since each has developed a faithful following of its own. Montano has over 50 entrees, priced from $9.99 to $16.99. The fare itself covers seafood, pasta, steak and ribs. "By the way," Bob adds, "all of our sauces are cooked to order, so customers can request special needs. We do not serve ladled sauces." Such attention to details has had an impact over the years. First, the staff that waits on you has remained virtually unchanged since the beginning 11 years ago. "We are truly a Mom and Pop operation," Bob admitted before leaving to don his chef's jacket and head for the kitchen. Customer allegiance also runs deep which helps keep Montano's open year-round. "Our most powerful advertising," according to Bob, "is word of mouth. Year rounders tell their friends and guests and once they visit, the word passes on to others." You can also count on Montano's to cater your group function in their separate Function Room which can handle up to 60 people. So if you feel the urge for a great Italian dinner in a spacious environment by a fireplace just a bit out of Provincetown, visit Montano's after 4:30pm nightly. Your first visit will make you a customer, your second visit will make you a friend. Beyond that, you're family! Mange!"
